Inclusive Disability-All Support Group

Support UP | Rest & Reconnect LV Support Group

In 2024, about 1 in 4 adults in the United States reported not having social and emotional support, according to CDC data.

At Rest & Reconnect LV, we understand that isolation sucks. For people living with chronic pain, mental health conditions, or disabilities, isolation can be even harder.

Support groups are often limited by a specific condition or set of qualifications. Rest & Reconnect LV’s "Support UP" is designed for adults with any disability, chronic illness, chronic pain, mental health condition, or neurodivergence.

Meetings follow a trauma-informed and peer-led approach. Laya, the founding organizer, has over three years of experience facilitating community outreach and peer-centered conversations.

During each session, there will be a topic aimed at uplifting people with disabilities and reducing isolation. The first two support group meetings are centered around empowerment and resilience.

Meeting Times

Support UP meetings are scheduled for:

May 26th from 6:00–7:30 p.m. and June 30th from 6:00–7:30 p.m.

The Zoom link will be shared about one week before each meeting; captions are automatically enabled.

Disclaimer

Peer support can offer connection and shared resources, but it cannot replace therapy, medical care, legal advice, emergency care, or case management.
